Mobile learning projects

We are going to describe mobile using in education. As we know we find a lot of study material on mobile phone. Which is very useful in our study .In this article we are going to a research project of mobile using in education.

We present three mobile learning projects.

First Mobile project

First, we conducted a survey on mobile device usage among 333 university students in Japan.

Everybody claimed to have a smartphone.

99% of people use their mobile devices to send email, exchanging 200 emails every week on average. Emailing for studying and discussing classes is used by 66% of students.

Only 43% of people use PCs for email, and they only send and receive an average of 2 messages every week. PDA usage was only 20%.

Second Mobile project

Second, in an effort to encourage regular study, we sent 44 Japanese university students timed emails with 100 word English vocabulary lessons. Students who received mobile email did better academically than those who were advised to routinely study the same things on paper or the web (p 0.05).

In comparison to computers, 71% of the subjects preferred using their phones for these lectures. 93% thought this was a good teaching strategy.

Third Mobile project

Third, we developed an online resource that explains English idioms. Each idiom’s literal meaning is depicted in a student produced animation; the idiomatic meaning is depicted in a film.

Textual materials come with an overview, a script, and a test. Using video-capable mobile phones, 31 college sophomores reviewed the website, finding few technical issues and giving it excellent marks for instructional usefulness.
