As Massive was leaving the House floor on Wednesday, Kentucky GOP Congressman Thomas Massie was the target of an outburst from New York Democratic Representative Jamaal Bowman regarding gun control legislation.
The violent confrontation took place only two days after a highly armed attacker killed three pupils and three staff members at The Covenant School in Nashville, Tennessee. According to authorities, the shooter, Audrey Hale, 28, was equipped with two assault-style firearms and a handgun.
Massie interrupting Bowman’s Speech
Following this, Massie is seen interrupting Bowman’s speech and making an effort to engage with his Democratic counterpart about his proposal to arm teachers and other school personnel in order to stop incidents at schools.
Bowman is also questioned by the Kentucky Republican about co-sponsoring his bill. “More guns lead to more death,” Bowman retorted.During the conversation, Massie also tells Bowman to “calm down” at one point. Calm down, Bowman says back to Massie. Kids are passing away. youngsters aged nine.”
