Following shootings at two different campuses in East Lansing on Monday night, university police reported that at least three individuals pass away at Michigan State University.Police announced early on Tuesday that the suspect in the shooting had died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after an hours-long manhunt.

By 10:15 p.m., according to officials, several campus buildings had been evacuated and secured.Social media users said that university students were barricaded or hiding as police officers spread out.Three first-year women told Lansing, Michigan, NBC station WILX said they were in a dining hall when one of their relatives called to inform them that there was a shooter.Despite being instructed to remain calm, they eventually blocked the doors, they claimed. A sizable number eventually made a hasty exit.Outside, three students were spotted sobbing and hugging one another.

One of them told the broadcaster, “Everyone was screaming everyone’s names, it was incredibly loud, really busy, and I couldn’t find her.”All campus activities, including athletics and classes, were cancelled by MSU late on Monday.twice a day.
