Rapper AKA, also known as Kiernan Forbes, was shot and died in Durban.Just after 10 p.m. on Friday, the incident happened in front of the Wish restaurant on Florida Road.AKA and another person next to him had just completed eating dinner and were getting ready to leave when they were shot by a group of unknown assailants.

The hip-hop artist was scheduled to play at Durban’s YG nightclub on Friday.Police acknowledged the incident without disclosing the individuals’ identities.According to Robert Netshiunda, a spokesman for the KwaZulu-Natal police, “all we can confirm for now is that a well-known artist, 35, and his bodyguard, who is claimed to be 34 years old, were shot and killed at Florida road on Friday night.”
The two were pronounced dead at the spot, but it wasn’t until 2 a.m. on Saturday that their table umbrella-covered bodies were removed.
