There have been numerous official casting announcements for the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie, but no official trailers have been released. However, since the Five Nights at Freddy’s teaser leaked online, there is now some unofficial video available.
The Five Nights at Freddy’s trailer offers a jumbled view of the film.
The overwhelming watermark that covers almost all of the video makes it difficult to watch. It even pans up to display the following warning: “Please do not use the keyboard, mouse, or click outside of this window once the film begins playing for security reasons. You will be removed from the research if you do this. We appreciate your patience. Obviously, this person won’t be contacted again to participate in a second research for the upcoming trailer.
The animated characters, including the one named Freddy, as well as Josh Hutcherson’s Mike Schmidt, are all shown in the trailer. With just over three minutes of film, it covers a variety of plot beats and jump scares. The trailer confirms that the movie’s October 27 (in theatres and on Peacock) release date remains unchanged. The release date of the official trailer is unclear.
Five Nights at Freddy’s, which is based on the well-known horror video game, is being directed by Emma Tammi from a script that she co-wrote with the game’s developer Scott Cawthon and Seth Cuddeback. Matthew Lillard (Scream), Josh Hutcherson (The Hunger Games movies), and Mary Stuart Masterson (Some Kind of Wonderful) will all appear in the adaptation.
At the first Five Nights at Freddy’s game, players must work as a security guard for five nights at a deranged pizza parlour where high temper, possessed animatronics prowl the corridors in search of their next prey. The series continued to produce numerous spin-offs and sequels.
