Before Donald Trump’s anticipated arrest in connection with the lengthy investigation into a hush-money scam involving adult film actress Stormy Daniels, who had allegedly had relations with the former president, the hashtag “Arrestmas” started trending on Twitter.

Twitter users who were anti-Trump began posting memes with a hashtag that sounded somewhat festive. Some referred to it as “#Arrestmas eve,” implying that for them Monday was no less than Christmas eve before Tuesday, when the former president might be placed in handcuffs.
