The Ministry of Finance and Revenue or Ministry of Finance Wazarat-e-khazana, abbreviated as MoF) is a ministry of the Government of Pakistan tasked to make sure a sturdy Pakistani economy by growing rules of sound economic control and offering professional recommendation to the government.
The Minister of Finance is main cupboard member who responsible every year for providing the federal government’s budget. It is one of the most vital positions in the Cabinet.

The prescribed qualifications , experience , age restriction , eligibility standards and other phrases of appointment are as under.
Standards,
The candidates have a Post – Graduate Degree or Master level degree in the applicable area from a identified organization .
Experience requirements,
Candidates has a professional experience not under ten years in the regions of accountancy , commerce , economics , finance , industry , law or public administration .
Age restriction,
The candidates age restriction is 62 years .
The candidates Must be recognized for his / her integrity , knowledge and eminence .
In case of extra than 15 eligible applicants , the shortlisting will be done via assessment based on nearby or overseas qualification , extra better qualification in applicable field , higher role experience , regulatory experience and so on.
Payment or emoluments,
Pay package as per Rule – 4 of the Competition Commission ( Salary , Terms and Conditions of Chairman and Members ) Rules , 2009 .
• All terms and situations of service shall be subject to revision by the Federal Government from time to time .
( In case of selection , applicants presently working in Government Departments , Semi – Government Departments or International Financial Institutions or Multilateral Organizations or Autonomous or Semi Autonomous Bodies and private area etc will have to resign or are looking for retirement before becoming a member of the Commission .
Ownership,
The selected applicants will be appointed for a term of three ( 03 ) years .
• The selected applicants shall end to hold office of Member , CCP on achieving the age of sixty – five ( 65 ) years or expiry of the term whichever is earlier .
