The “Mosquito Fire” is an active wildfire burning near the community of Foresthill in the Tahoe National Forest in Placer Country, California. It is the part of California wildfire season 2022.
When Was Fire Began
The fire began approximately on 6 September 2022 at 6:22.p.m near Mosquito Ridge Road above Oxbow Reservoir in the Middle Fork American River drainage on the western slope of the Sierra Nevada.
On 7 September 2022 the Mosquito Fire has burned 4,223 acres. The cause of the fire under investigation.
